Mission:
SSO Army/HQDA G-2 executes the SCI missions and functions for the Department of the Army as delegated by the Army's Head of the Intelligence Community Element (HICE), the Deputy Chief
of Staff, G-2. Additionally, the SSO provides oversight in support of HQDA staff and other organizations in the Military District of Washington (MDW).
Functions:
-Provides HQDA SSO support and executive
oversight to approximately 4,000 SCI personnel
positions to include National Guard, Reserves,
Active Duty Military, Department of the Army
Civilian, and Contractor Personnel.
-Responsible to the SEC ARMY, G-2 and HQDA Army
Staff for over 400 SCI Facilities (SCIFs) in the
Military District of Washington (MDW) to include
Pennsylvania and Maryland.
-Performs Staff
Assistance Visits (SAV); investigates and
reports security incidents and infractions.
