SETA Program Development

Everyone has a role to play in the success of a Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) program but senior leadership and security program managers have key responsibilities to ensure that an effective program is established. Federal agencies and organizations cannot protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information without ensuring that all people involved:
  • Understand their roles and responsibilities related to the Command's mission; and
  • Understand the organization's security policy, procedures, and practices
A continuous and efficient SETA Program is designed to educate personnel on good security practices.

There are four critical steps establishing an effective SETA program:
  1. Program Design
  2. Material Development and Dissemination
  3. Program Implementation
  4. Post-Implementation
