Information Security

The HQDA SSO provides oversight and promulgation of the information security (INFOSEC) program for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

Some of the following tools are helpful within the SCI information security (INFOSEC) program, but can also be used for many other security disciplines as well:

SCI Publication Review

HQDA SSO conducts a review of any information that may contain SCI but refers must individuals to the HQDA, Information Security Program for reviews of any publications that a person may or intends to release. HQDA SSO follows Army Regulation (AR) 380-5, Department of the Army Information Security Program, implements the policies set forth in Executive Order 12958, as amended on 25 March 2003, Classified National Security Information, and Department of Defense (DoD) 5200.1-R, Information Security Program. It establishes the policies for security classification, downgrading, declassification, and safeguarding of information requiring protection in the interest of national security.
