Once the SETA program has been designed, the Command/organization head and
senior leadership should be briefed on the implementation plan and approve it
being communicated throughout the Command. The SETA program's implementation
must be fully explained to the organization to achieve support for its
implementation and commitment of necessary resources. This includes an
explanation of expectations from senior leadership, personnel, as well as
expected results of the program and benefits to the organization. Funding issues
must also be addressed if required. It is essential that everyone involved in
the implementation of the program understand their roles and responsibilities.
Once the implementation plan is approved, the plan should be communicated to all
personnel providing information on the SETA program, mandatory security
awareness and training, the schedule for SETA offerings, and nomination
procedures to each SETA course.
